As a business partner, Sallie specializes in building and implementing strategic human resources programs that drive bottom line results. Her areas of expertise include strategic planning, recruitment, performance management, compliance and organizational development to include succession planning, leadership development, team building, and coaching.
Another key area of focus for Sallie has been the establishment of a network of healthcare executives and physicians across the country. This network has been instrumental in facilitating collaboration among healthcare systems to promote sharing of expertise and learning.
Sallie is also an Adjunct Professor teaching graduate studies in Public Administration and Health Care Administration at Hilbert College.
She holds a BA in Psychology from the State University College of New York at Buffalo. She received her certification in Long Term Care Administration and Master’s of Science Degree in Health Services Administration from D’Youville College. She has conducted extensive research in the healthcare arena. She has published a work entitled, “Improving performance by Increasing Employee Satisfaction in Healthcare” Her most recent work is entitled, “Physician Recruitment, The Challenge for Today, the Crisis of Tomorrow”.
She is an active member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and the Healthcare Executive Forum of Western New York, Society of Human Resource Management: Local, National and Global Chapters, She also is a member of the Western New York Healthcare Human Resources Association. She is an Advisory Board Member of Graduate Studies at Hilbert College, and an Advisory Board Member for the Community Health Worker Network of Buffalo.
Robert Stall MD is an internist and fellowship trained geriatrician who has dedicated his entire professional career to the care of older adults. He empowers patients, caregivers, and health professionals to provide better care for seniors through lectures, seminars, “homework” given at visits to his office, mentoring students, acting as a media resource, and providing information on his web site.
Over his career, Dr. Stall has been medical director or advisor in hospital, home care, and long-term care settings, and has served as a member of the UB School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences Faculty Council and the UB 2020 Task Force on Aging and Chronic Disease.
His company, Stall Geriatrics LLC, develops technological innovations to enhance geriatric care, including seven iPhone apps to confirm and give advice about common, often undiagnosed and potentially treatable problems (caregiver stress, dementia, depression, incontinence, low testosterone in males, sleep apnea, and unsafe driving) and two interactive web-based utilities, one a general comprehensive senior health assessment and the other a medication-symptom analyzer, each generating summary reports for patients to discuss with their doctors.
Dr. Stall now offers his consulting and advisory expertise to help practices, businesses, organizations and health systems improve geriatric and general medical care through creative, innovative yet practical approaches.
These include taking advantage of low-cost web-based and mobile technology, direct engagement of patient and caregivers to assist with their own care, “meaningful use” of the electronic health record (e.g. personalizing the user interface, template creation, reducing redundancy in documentation, enhancing connectivity, etc.), and optimizing workflow to achieve greater productivity and more cost-effective care.
Dr. Stall is a graduate of the UB School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, and completed his internal medicine and geriatric training also in the Buffalo, NY metro area. He holds an undergraduate degree in electrical engineering and computer science from MIT.
